Emerging as one of the southwest’s top dining destinations Zena’s is a continental bistro where a passion for food is matched only by the friendly table service. With its open air courtyard and Mediterranean style interior, Zena’s offers a truly cosmopolitan setting, with a menu of innovative cuisine that fuses the global cultures of the Mediterranean and the Caribbean into an exciting culinary tour.
Parasols, elegant china, Caribbean art on the walls and French style waiters and waitresses with long white aprons add to the ambience- the whole style is one of relaxed sophistication. When the weather is cool or the evening sun has disappeared over the horizon, then patio heaters allow customers to still enjoy dining out in the courtyard lit by fairy lights. 
There is live music every Saturday from noon until 3pm- usually a mix of blues and jazz -which adds to the chilled out atmosphere. In fact it’s all too easy to forget when eating at Zena’s that the bistro is situated in the town of Barnstaple in the heart of the West Country and not in sunny Spain or Italy.
Zena's personal touch is apparent yet subtle - for example she flies in spices which originate from her favourite country, The Bahamas. She has overseen the evolution of the bistro from the very beginning, along with her manager, Tracy Pearce, who Zena flew out to The Bahamas for training. Click here for current menu......
