North Devon Shopmobility is the answer....

Shopmobility provides the loan of manual and powered wheelchairs or electric scooters to help anyone, local visitor or tourist, with limited mobility to shop and enjoy the facilities of Barnstaple Town Centre.

Shopmobility is free! However, a small returnable deposit will be required if you are borrowing a wheelchair or scooter. The scheme does need help with the running costs and a donation box will be avaliable should you wish to make a donation.

When you arrive....

You will need to show 2 forms of identification with your name and address. There will be a few simple forms to sign for insurance purposes, and a member of staff will show you how it works and you can have a practice in our designated practie area.

Other services include, Volunteer Escort Service, Wheelchair Hire and Leisuremobility.
