Ladybirds provide full and part-time daycare for infants, toddlers and pre-school children at our two fully equipped nurseries in Landkey and Swimbridge, near Barnstaple in Devon.

Our existing Landkey nursery is a dedicated baby unit for up to 12 full time infants from birth to 2 years of age.

Our Swimbridge nursery has 20 full time places for 2-5 year olds and provides foundation stage curriculum in accordance with DfEE standards.

Later this year our new Landkey nursery will be opening with an additional 20 full time places for 2-5 year olds. Initially this will be for the normal 5 days per week but we have plans to open 7 days per week to cater for parents who work shift and weekend work patterns. This change will also see our Swimbridge nursery become the dedicated baby unit providing up to 20 full time places for 0-3 year olds.

Our status means that we can also provide funded places for 3-5 year olds.

Our normal operating times are Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6pm but we can provide care outside of these hours by special arrangement and this includes weekends. (see above for our plans for the new Landkey nursery) We also provide before and after school care and care during school holidays.

Ladybirds was established in 1988 and is now regarded as one of the leading professional day nurseries in the area. We are OFSTED registered and inspected and we are members of the National Day Nursery Association (NDNA).

At Ladybirds we believe that childcare is an important vocational service and an asset to the local community. We ensure that all of our staff undergo continuous professional development so that we are always providing the very best levels of care, play and instruction possible for the children in our charge.
