Karslake Cottage

Where the River Exe meets Winn Brook, in a pretty valley setting just north of Dulverton, you will find Karslake Cottage. This charming semi detached property sits adjacent to the Karslake Country Guest House in the heart of the village of Winsford, considered to be one of the prettiest in Exmoor.

A curved staircase, narrow in parts, leads up from the kitchen to the galleried landing where one step down takes you into the stylishly presented spacious double bedroom. Along the landing, one step down, is a further attractively furnished double bedroom, and a modern bathroom with separate shower cubicle serves both rooms.

A couple of minutes walk from the cottage is the picturesque thatched 12th Century Royal Oak Inn offering a good choice of menu, or for something special the adjacent awarding winning Karslake Guest House restaurant is also open to non residents by arrangement. Just a few minutes drive away is the small medieval town of Dulverton, which has a good selection of quality shops, tea rooms and the National Park Visitors Centre. Not recommended for small children and ideally suited to couples, friends, and families with older children, this lovely home from home will provide a warm welcome at any time of the year.

Accommodation Ground floor Hall. Living room with TV/DVD and stereo. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Cloakroom with WC and basin. Kitchen/breakfast room with Aga, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Outside lockable shed houses a further freezer. First floor: Bedroom 1 with Superking "zip n link" option to twin on request. Bedroom 2 with Double. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, WC and basin.

Facilities and Services Oil CH. Linen and towels. Complimentary logs. Garden furniture. Short breaks are available. Regret no smoking. 2 Pets welcome. Telephone for incoming and emergency calls only. 2 allocated parking spaces 30yds. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Friday.
